I am especially happy to see my Charity roses doing so well. After my sister died, I planted this David Austin variety in her memory.
I love that I get to look out my window and see them and think of Charity. I miss her.

I will take some of these beauties to the cemetery on her birthday later this month.
They are divine! They look like peonies!!!!! I need some rose growing lessons. Mine is still bare ... not even foliage. But I do have an amazing hollyhock that is 5'5" with a dozen blooms ready to burst forth. AND to my amazement, the pansies and snap dragons survived the frost!
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I love David Austin roses is because they look like peonies! I also love that they are disease resistant. :)
ReplyDeleteAlice, that's sweet that you chose the disease resistant roses for Charity's memorial bush. She is disease-free now. How nice!
ReplyDeleteEmily, I never thought of that! What a nice image. Thanks!
