A Random Photo

For the record, I don't like it when people "tag" me to answer a hundred random questions about myself, or whatever. Those things take too much time. Maybe I'm lazy, maybe I just don't like being told what to blog about. I don't know. That's just how I feel.

Now that I got that off my chest, I have one exception. Kendra tagged me for this random photo thing. I like this because I don't have to answer any silly questions. So, here goes... the 6th photo from the 6th folder.
This is Collin and Jack last summer. It was a Sunday morning and the boys were ready for church, and the girls (yes, "girls".... that includes me) weren't, so the boys were waiting around for us (by the way, we are never late for church... on the contrary, we always go 30 minutes early... long story). Jay snapped this photo of Collin reading to Jack from a technology magazine that Jay brought home from work. Not typical reading material for a 9 year old, but this is normal for Collin. I love that kid.

Notice the evidence of Mary in the Care Bear on the sofa.

  1. I Love that photo. It says relax before church....We are usually running every which way getting everyone out the door.

I want to sit on the couch and look at a magazine or whatever instead of feeling that hurry hurry race feeling.

  2. I love it Alice!

I hate tags too. Sorry I tagged you, but, like you, I felt this one was easy enough. Actually, I liked this chalenge because it was like opening present. I wasn't sure what was going to be in the folder. It gave me something to blog about.

    Your boys are too cute!

  3. Victoria tagged me once and I threatened to ground her unless she took it back. ;) I'm with you 100%. Cute picture!

  4. So fun to see your darling kids. Boys are the best! Girls are the best! Wait, does that make sense? Well, having children is the best and of course mine are the best! Well, yours are the best too! It's the best! (at first I didn't mind the tagging but I don't like it any more and then I remembered third grade, duh, didn't like it then either.)

  5. Alice - this is a LONG shot, but a girl named Candice gave me a link to your blog since you're in the general Mesa area...my sister just moved there last week and my son (12 yrs old) and I are flying out to visit her this Thursday (12th)...being so new there my sister doesn't know of what we can do there and never having been there I also have no idea!! (actually the only thing we know of is maybe a spring training game?) If you know of anything that is a must see in the Mesa area, would you mind letting me know?
