The Campaign

Collin is running for school Historian (the only office that 4th graders can hold). Here is the campaign poster he made. Now comes the hard part... writing a speech.

  1. Collin needs to be friends with my brother. Send him to his blog sometime. They'll get along famously! www.studiosb3.com

  2. I have a 4th grader too. Good luck with the speech. I hope he wins! My son has a blog too but it's private. I didn't want just anybody reading it.
I know you don't know me but we are praying for Christian and Stephanie every day, several times a day. I'm re-discovering what faith means.

  3. Don't tell Collin, but the DeWitt family is cursed when it comes to winning. We never win. But hopefully the good Nielson genetics will take over and he will triumph in the end. ;)Wish him luck for us. I'm so glad the concert was a success. We'll keep praying.

  4. I saw Collin's poster hanging up in the multipurpose room. It looks fabulous! I totally sympathize with you on the speech writing, having gone through it several times with my boys. Good luck!

  5. Now, I would think this speech-writing would be a "Jay" specialty?!?!

BTW - The boys LOVE the SW theme goin. They would vote for him no doubt! :)

  6. Alice - you probably don't remember me - we were in your ward for a while before the split back long ago. I was between Helena and Charity (a Starr, if that helps). I was checking on Christian and Stephanie and playing around on blogs and found yours from Cindy Thomas (really good friend), and wanted to say hi! What school do your kids go to - I have a 4th grader and he sounds familiar? Also, does Helena have a blog? I would love to catch up on what she's doing.

  7. 4th Grade Historian? I remember having that post! Of course, I lost the campaign for Student Body President (6th grade) to Peter, do you remember that, Alice?! It was not difficult to lose to Peter; he was very gracious about it. :)

Good luck to Collin! You've got a great start with the poster.
